With 6 members of staff at the Poole branch with a combined 30 years of experience between them, we spoke to store manager Finlay Brophy to learn more about Poole, finding customers their perfect tile and her team of Simon, Robbie, Phil, James and Agnieszka.

What’s your favourite bit about Poole?
There are a vast amount of lovely beaches nearby and there's always something going on, such as the air show and steam fair, that brings life to the city.

How can Tile Giant help customers find their perfect tile?
We'll do all we can to ensure customers get the effect and look that they are looking for in their home. We like to try and help you visualise what the finished product will look like by arranging the tiles in the store, even laying them out in different formats if possible. Try and get as many samples as you can to see if the colours will complement each other, and finding inspiration from Pinterest can help narrow down what you're looking for.

Which is your favourite range currently?
The Lappato style such as the I-Pietra is a tile that is practical for every room and gives a classy, modern look and we've also widened our range of mosaics that jazz up any room and are perfect as a feature piece.

What trends are proving popular at the moment?
The marble effect Mont Blanc and Marmo are proving most popular with customers at the moment, but stone effect tiles in greys and beiges are overall the most popular as they bring a lot of character into the room.

What’s the best thing about working for Tile Giant?
The best thing about working for Tile Giant is that it feels like one big family, everyone is always willing to help each other out. Speaking to many new people every day makes the job fun as no two people are the same.

About the store

Tile Giant in Poole is ideally located just outside of the town centre, on Poole Trade Park, with free customer parking easily accessible off the A3049, Dorset Way.

As with many Tile Giant stores, we’re open for extended hours so you can get the materials you need when you need them.

The Tile Giant Poole showroom is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm throughout the week, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on Saturdays and 10:00 until 4:00 pm on Sundays.

Our Tile Giant store in Poole is also open on Bank Holidays if you’re planning on tackling some DIY over the long weekend.
