Tell us about your team at Tile Giant Chippenham?
There are 4 team members: Store Manager, Chris Slocombe, Assistant Manager, Dan Loft, Branch Sales, Kev Cooper and Branch Sales, Shaun Hunkin.
- Chris has been at Chippenham for 1 year, moving from Swindon branch where he was Assistant Manager for 2 years. Chris has a history in retail and had owned his own business in Devon before moving back to his home town.
- Dan has worked in tile shops for more than 10 years and has been with Tile Giant for the last 2 years. He trains in Brazilian Ju Jitsu.
- Kev has recently rejoined us after a brief spell at another tile retailer, he brings more than 7 years of experience in tiles with him. Kev is also an avid online gamer.
- Shaun has worked part-time at the branch for almost 2 years and his passion is custom cars.
How can Tile Giant help customers find their perfect tile?
With our recently revamped tile range, in-store displays, home sample service and professional advice, customers can be confident that they can find everything they need to complete their project with Tile Giant.
What’s the best bit of advice you can give for customers visiting the store to help you help them?
When you visit Tile Giant, the best thing you can bring with you is an open mind. So, many of our customers arrive with a very specific idea in mind but end up with a very different solution after they see the many new ranges and styles we have to offer. Bringing some colour samples is very useful, along with the measurements for the project, if you have them. Bringing a camera to take pictures of the tiles you like is also a great idea.
What’s your favourite style/trend?
I love the new porcelain wood effect tiles - they look so realistic but carry all the advantages and easy maintenance that a tile brings.
What tiles or products are proving popular at the moment?
We are seeing big sales of wood effect, patterned and stone effect tiles. Our biggest selling accessory is Grout and Tile Protector Spray, which seals grout lines to help prevent mould and staining.
What’s your favourite bit about your town/city?
The best thing about Chippenham is its size and location - Chippenham is small enough to have a rural, market town feel but is only an hour from London and 30 minutes from Bristol.
Why does Tile Giant stand out over other retailers?
I think our greatest difference is our knowledgeable staff and our range of tiles. I also think that having fully tiled room displays helps our customers to see what they could achieve in their own homes.
What’s the best thing about working for Tile Giant?
The best thing about working here is when customers come back to show us pictures of their finished projects - It's really great to know that you have played a part in creating a look that the customer loves.
About Tile Giant Chippenham
Tile Giant Chippenham is ideally located at The Old Foundry on Old Foundry Lane. There’s plenty of free customer parking easily accessible on site. As with many Tile Giant stores, we’re open for extended hours so you can get the materials you need, when you need them.
Our Chippenham tile showroom is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the week, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on Saturdays and 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Sundays. Tile Giant Chippenham is also open on Bank Holidays if you’re planning on tackling some DIY over the long weekend.

You can also find all the tools and accessories you need to prepare your surfaces, install and maintain your tiles with our Trade Rewards scheme providing great benefits for trade professionals.
If you’d prefer to order online you can reserve and collect in store and return excess tiles with our buyback service, but please contact customer services on 0345 307 5000 to arrange this.
