Ideal Home Show 2022

Last week we visited the world-famous Ideal Home Show at the Olympia in Kensington. It was our very first time featuring any Tile Giant products at the show, so we went down to check it out. 

The Ideal Home Show has been running as an exhibition since 1908 and is officially the world’s longest-running exhibition AND the UK’s largest exhibition! Featuring products and concepts from the world of interior, technology, fashion and food, the exhibition is a huge hit every year. The show was put on hold in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID epidemic but is back with a bang this year... 

This year, we were asked to be part of the super exciting Good Homes Magazine Room sets. The stand is a showstopper as it includes 3 complete room sets with different interior themes in each set. The interior themes for the three featured rooms are Updated Heritage, Wellness Retreat and Flexible Living and we have tiles featured in each. 

Updated Heritage

This living room set was designed with classic interior design in mind but features a retro colour scheme to bring it to life. We provided our Metro Blush Pink 100x200 tiles to the fireplace area to add a pop of colour to the set. Simple but effective! The colour works perfectly with the other subtle hints of pink throughout this design.

Wellness Retreat

The key concept in this room set is cool, calm and collected. This design fits in perfectly with our 2022 Trend Book and we think this trend will be sticking around for a few more years yet. We added our San Remo Textured Hex tiles to the shower as the real feature piece of this design and its neutral colour palette and natural textures work incredibly well with the rest of the room. 

Flexible Living

We know flexible living is a key part of many of our homes due to working from home is a key part of our updated everyday lives, therefore, flexible living spaces are important no matter what size home you have. This Good Homes room set is made up of an office space, dining area and lounge! Our Ideal Home Picket range plays a great part in the dining area with the grey and white tiles combined to create a fun and functional divider for this room.
